Welcome.

Maybe you have been feeling lost, confused and like you just don’t fit in anywhere. You’re overwhelmed with life’s demands of deciding what’s next after high school or college, parenting, career, relationships and/or navigating other life transitions. You go through the motions, but feel like you’re in survival mode and wonder if things will always be this way, or if there is relief. You have a hard time telling others how you’re feeling and maybe even struggle with knowing your own feelings. You’ve lost yourself in your relationships and caring for others and want to find yourself again. Perhaps you wonder if you or a loved one may have undiagnosed ADHD or Autism? Are you caring for a loved one with chronic health and/or mental health issues and need a place just for you to process?

If any of the above sound like you or a family member, I’d be honored to work alongside you.

I work from a humanistic approach and offer a calm, caring and lighthearted environment. I can hold space for you to share, process and untangle life’s events and utilize various forms of treatments to help improve how you cope and your overall wellbeing. (i.e. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Somatic techniques, Mindfulness, and Lifespan Integration). I also love to use laughter as a useful tool in healing and coping with difficult life experiences.

I’m hopeful that after spending some time on my website you’ll get a better sense of who I am, the services and support I offer and whether or not you feel like you want to connect for a free consultation call or video chat.

It is important to me that you find the best care for your needs and if it’s not me, I would love to help give you referrals for other trusted therapists.

I am a late diagnosed ADHDer, an introvert, an enneagram 9, and a recovering empath. I enjoy reading, lifting weights, making mediocre art, music, laughing at terrible movies, nature, my weighted blanket, and live comedy shows. I have been married for over 20 years to an engineer and incredible musician and I am a mom to three incredible humans ranging from middle school to college age. I grew up in the Midwest and have lived in Washington for over 13 years. We have two mini aussiedoodles named Moose and Sparrow.

I have always been interested in helping from a young age. In high school I worked at my local small town hospital and assisted living as a nursing assistant. As I was working towards obtaining my social work degree, I worked in various Domestic Violence shelters in South Dakota and Arizona. Social Justice has always been important to me and learning more about other’s struggles and how they overcame hardships gave me such hope and a desire to be a part of others’ journey towards healing.

After finishing my BSW from the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, SD, I began my MSW program at the University of North Dakota. I was a student, wife, mother of two young children under 3 and working part time with children with complex medical needs at our local specialty hospital and school. I completed my practicum at the VA Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD working in the HUD VASH program, helping unhoused Veterans with housing, case management, and counseling support.

After graduating with my MSW in 2010, my family relocated to Bothell, WA. I worked several years as a case manager for Veterans, adults with developmental disabilities, and many years as a medical social worker in skilled nursing facilities and home health care in my community. I opened my private practice in 2021.

I enjoy working with mothers, caregivers of all types, individuals working through life transitions, teens 13+, couples, grief and loss, anxiety and panic disorders. I am a skilled and knowledgeable neurodivergent affirming provider and love to support individuals and their family members to heal from the trauma and burnout living in a neurotypical world can cause. I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist and everyone is welcome in my practice.
